Bestens Brewery in Lower Beeding is a new brewery for the Horsham area (it was previously in Cuckfield). I was able to visit on Saturday for a taster of their beers.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Fuller's had taken a 100% stake in Dark Star, one of my favourite, small independent breweries. With a deal like this, it's always best to see how the two companies work together before deciding if it's good or bad. The time to judge this deal is in a year or two when the impact is clear.

The Half Moon in Kirdford was bought in the summer by fashion model, racing car driver and TV personality, Jodie Kidd. The Grade II listed pub has been renovated with new bar and interior, new menus, an outdoor patio area, and a host of other improvements. Here's my review of the Press Lunch.

Firebird Brewery tours take place every second Tuesday of the month. My coworking colleagues and I booked a place on this week's tour and loved it.

There's a new brewery in Horsham! Chapeau Brewing in Redkiln Close opened their doors for a pre-launch party on 1st November. I was lucky enough to be invited to try their beers.

Every first Friday in the month, Welton's host a pub night at their brewery. I visited for October's pub night where Horsham Old Ale was introduced.

As you may know, Kissingate Brewery is a small brewery in Lower Beeding on the outskirts of Horsham. They hold several events at the brewery throughout the year and yesterday was a Beer and Curry Night.

I visited Horsham Beer Festival at the weekend. It was a great event as always. The range of beers was fantastic. And the atmosphere was just right. Many thanks to Gareth Jones (The Beer Essentials) and team for making the event happen.

The Frog and Nightgown in Wimland Road (just off the A264 between Horsham and Faygate) has been closed for three years. But, the pub has new owners now and it re-opens on 21st May. Great news!
