Description
The Six Bells is a timber-framed pub with several interconnecting bar areas, with brick and wooden floors, on different levels and a larger restaurant area towards the rear. Generous food portions - I recommend the ham, egg and chips! Small garden with a view of the old church opposite.
Beers from Hall and Woodhouse including Badger and Tanglefoot. The pub has a skittles evening on Mondays.

How to get there
By car
Newdigate is close to the A24 between Horsham and Dorking.
Cycling
Take Rusper road past Littlehaven station. After the station, straight ahead at next roundabout to the A264 north bypass. Straight over the bypass roundabout [can be busy]. Follow this road up a steep hill [it's all downhill on the way back] for 2.8 miles [4.5 km] to Rusper.
At the T-junction next to The Star pub, turn left, through Rusper past the Plough on the right. Continue on this road - do not turn left towards Capel - to Newdigate which is 3.1 miles [5 km] from Rusper. The Six Bells is opposite the medieval church.
Suggested cycling routes from here
Straight out of the pub, crossing the road, with the church on your left - cycle along a lane. Just before the road bends round to the left, turn right along a semi-private road. This leads on to a bridleway which cuts through to Charlwood. Return to Horsham via Lambs Green [try the Lamb Inn] and Faygate.
or for a longer trip, come out of the pub, turn left and cycle north from Newdigate along country lanes via the Surrey Oaks towards Brockham. There is a nice village green at Brockham.

Great pub! Amazing people who work there; Harri the blonde makes going there a dream. She is as tasty as the sausage and chips. I recommend both!

Amazing food, it is so tasty and always comes out fresh and piping hot. Me and my boyfriend visit once a month, the food is scrummy and well priced, I recommend sausages and chips...delicious!!
