Description

Pub with two bars, beamed ceiling and a large sunny garden. Stained glass windows at the front of the pub advertising an old Brighton brewery. Beers are Timothy Taylors Landlord and Fullers London Pride served straight from the barrel. Bed and breakfast accommodation available.

The pub has a regular quiz night every two weeks, a monthly music night and themed evenings. Recent themes have been Australian and South African nights and a magic night. The pub has its own website.

How to get there

By car
Mannings Heath is on the A281 Brighton Road - approximately 1.9 miles [3 km] east of Horsham.

Cycle to the pub via St Leonard's Road and Comptons Lane and then east on Hammerpond Road. After 1.3 miles [2 km], turn right [Goldings Lane] signposted Mannings Heath, down a steep hill and into MH village. Turn right opposite the cricket pitch and the pub is on the T-junction with the A281.

There are some quiet country lanes between Mannings Heath, Colgate and St Leonard's Forest. These are ideal for anyone who wants to get away from it all - although there are a couple of short but steep climbs in this area. There's a great downhill road section between Mannings Heath and Hammerpond Road.

St Leonard's Forest has some good off-road bridleways and tracks.

Pubs near here include the Foresters Arms in Horsham and the Dragon at Colgate.
